VERISME is an entry-level certification offered by Exin that validates foundational knowledge of the VeriSM (Verifiable Services Management) framework. It demonstrates understanding of how to deliver IT services that are fit for purpose, trustworthy, and continuously improving.
There are no formal prerequisites required to take the VERISME certification exam. However, candidates are recommended to have basic knowledge of IT service management concepts and ideally some experience working in IT service delivery environments.
The VERISME exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions and candidates have 60 minutes to complete it. A passing score of 65% (26 out of 40 correct answers) is required to obtain the certification.
The exam covers the core principles of the VeriSM framework, including service delivery principles, governance, the four Vs (Value, Validation, Verification, and Viability), and how organizations can apply VeriSM to ensure services remain fit for purpose. It also includes practical scenarios demonstrating VeriSM application in real-world contexts.
VERISME certification is valid for 3 years from the date of passing the exam. After this period, certified professionals must renew their certification by either retaking the exam or completing continuing professional development requirements specified by Exin.
